I first came across the developmental-initiatives began in Vagdam, by Nitin, and his hardworking team members, on the now-defunct online volunteering social media platform, Nabuur.com, in 2008.

So fascinated was, I, by Nitin’s passion for lifting living-standards in Vagdam, through (amongst other planned projects), a conservation-through-ecotourism initiative, that I joined the Nabuur.com Vagdam Village page, as an online volunteer.

After viewing the latest series of very fascinating photographs, sent to me by Nitin, I am overjoyed that so much has been accomplished, by positive-joint-effort, of the entire community.

Those marvellous photographs, encapsulate so beautifully, in shared-images, the strength-in-unity narrative, of a focused Indian rural community’s long transformative-journey, to becoming a shinning example of climate-resilient levelling-up, amidst fruit-forest-gardening splendour. To all at Vagdam, one says: bravo, bravo, bravo. May the coming decades bring you even more prosperity, to make Vagdam a climate-resilient rural community that is peaceful, stable and inclusive.
